“They have just been taught that people with learning disabilities can do less than they can and it’s tragic. And every time you do something you can see the gazes of wonderment as people realise the truth.”
Stereotype: When people have a general idea about what a person or a group is like when they don’t know them.
Heart n Soul’s artists and participants have constantly challenged stereotypes about what people with learning disabilities can do. In this story they look at some of the most important things they’ve done in their careers so far. This includes performing at the London Paralympics Games opening ceremony in 2012.
