Mat Fraser
Mat is an actor, writer and musician.
Mat has been working with Heart n Soul since the late 90’s. He performed and compered at many of The Beautiful Octopus Clubs. He directed his first ever film, Celebrity Shotgun at Heart n Soul and co-wrote the track Manifesto with Lizzie Emeh featured on her first album.
Mat has recently achieved mainstream success in America in the TV show American Horror Story.
This portrait was taken just after his critically acclaimed performance as Richard III at Hull Truck Theatre, becoming the first disabled actor to take on the role. Mat wanted to be seen as a man in the prime of his life.
